Abstract: The publication gives a critical review of V. A. Gorpinich's book on ancient Greek anthroponymy. The author points out the lack of compositional integrity, the mismatch of the titles and the content of some chapters, the methodological inconsistency, terminological and theoretical inaccuracies and factual errors which make the book unfit for use.
