Substrate Hydronymy in the Nemnyuga River Basin (Mezensky District of Arhangelsk Region)

Abstract: The article observes hydronims of Finno-Ugric origin which occur nowadays on the territory of Mezensky district of Arhangelsk region in the basin of the river Nemnyuga. Presenting etymological interpretation of the material the author reveals predominance of Sami and Baltic-Finnish hydronimic substratum in the given area.
